Wagon R VXL Coolant Change

Assalam-o-Alykum,

I have Wagon R VXL 2017 with odo reading 27500km and intend to change coolant. I jave searched the forum for similar query but couldn't get satisfactory result so decided to start my own thread. In one thread of Wagon R, someone said that one should drain the the Suzuki coolant and use Caltex or Toyota coolant. Some other said Suzuki coolant is just simple water with ink mixed (which I believe is incorrect because if Suzuki use improper coolant then they might higher warranty claims and also their coolant may be low quality but it may be unjust to say it is simple water with ink mixed because when you open the coolant reservoir, you may smell chemical odor. Well that is another discussion).

Can you please suggest me which coolant should I use and how much qty will I need for my car.

you can pour Suzuki genuine coolant, no issues
or you can get caltex concentrate, use in 50:50 with distilled water
toyota coolant is equally good
recommended quantity is 4.3 litres

Suzuki must be using dalda instead of proper oil then too

See the drain interval of your coolant as per on the manual and change the coolant then. And remember coolant come in two major varieties. One is I think OAT based. and both these are incompatible, so better stick with official company or OEM supplied coolant. And due diligence is must so you may not intermix the coolant. In severe cases they may coagulate and create a blockage somewhere in the coolant loop.

Don't quote me on following:

Newer car have similar types of coolant but I think coolant type varies with the materials used in engine (aluminium / iron etc) and the coatings used in them.

Suzuki paksuzuki coolant. Its not very expensive too. Just remember to get it done from someone reliable.
