WagonR VXL windscreen getting cracked without a reason

I bought a WagonR VXL in April-2017. This morning I found a 15" crack on the windshield. There is no sign of something hitting the screen. A friend of mine also had the same problem. He got a crack right in the middle of the screen for no reason. Is it a known issue with this make/model? Will the company replace the screen free of cost?

Yeah, that's been the issue past Summer too with Suzuki WagonR PKDM! Try to keep a half an inch window down when you leave out during summers, in daytime or try to park it under a shadow with no direct Sunlight!
It happens mainly due to heat and no trespassing of air in the cabin, the same reason why you sometimes have to close the doors twice because they were not correctly closed first time due to gentle push and air resistance in the cabin, when all the doors and windows are closed!
One more thing, 15 inch is a new thing though! People previously usually have had 3-4 inches crack in the windscreen during Summer! Try to be careful. All hail to the Pak Suzuki Motor Corp.

I think they don't accept claims of damaged items. A friend of mine had a problem of broken fuel lid closer in his newly bought wagonR vxl. He went to Suzuki for warranty claim and was told they won't accept damaged items claims.

Windscreen cracking like this should be claimed under warranty. If any 3S denies changing that send an email to Suzuki head office and they will deal with this matter. This is a common problem in Suzuki wagon R cars. No matter how much air tight car is windscreen should never crack like that. Cracking windscreen explains the quality which Suzuki is offering.

By the way if you leave fresh air of AC open that will also eliminate pressure from inside the cabin. Do not leave your car with windows down even if it is half an inch. Install door visors if you need to do that.

Dealership should accept this claim if they deny go to pak Suzuki regional office and complained about dealership..

Same thing happened with me too with my swift last year , I was travelling and the windshield all of a sudden cracked .

I had this crack in my Wagon R and we always thought that some stone did it.

There’s something wrong with the way they install it I guess , because I got my windscreen changed from 3s and then when it rained a bit of water was seen dripping , I asked the dealership and they said sir yeh toh replaced hay , logoun ki toh factory fitted mein masle aarahe hain

Windshields don't crack on their own u less they are locally manufacturered which compromises on quality using make shift processes. Easy way to check wether you windscreen is genuine or non genuine is to rub the logo from inside. Make sure it's the black logo if it's white then copy ones don't rub that easily but close inspection will show you either 2 logos or buffed logo.

Either go for Fuyao OEM as replacement or get it from 3s dealer and make sure you're checking the logos. Good luck !

I have experienced exactly the same thing, my Wagon R VXL 2017 a crack appeared out of no where no stone hit it nothing happened infact i have a car shed where I park my car in my house and one day a crack appeared overnight. The Suzuki dealership insisted that maybe a stone hit it, but there is some fault in the assembling of this car.
