need suggestions on engines and cars...

possible cars are
early 80s corrola..
70s corrola
cressida
mark1
datsun 120y

engines 4age silvertop... dont want to go the 1jz 2jz route.. dont want very high powerd car..

suggestions needed.. people who can locate cars and relevant parts let me know..

project will begin hopefully in january 2011 but will need to locate and get parts before that...

also if i get a job than no project

experts and experience people please comment

car should not be accidented..(minor touching is acceptable) and less rust..

yup... dont think ur gonna find one rust free with minor touching... better if u just get an OK car... swap in the 4AGE... have some fun with it for a year or so and then go for the body work... drift cars arent really meant to be show cars...

rust as in body main itna rust na ho that its falling apart.. or cant handle more power..
roll cage i can fabricate as well..

You can technically drift any car but some are a lot easier then others, that being said a good and very balanced RWD car is best suited for drifting.
Power-to-weight ratio, upgrade possibilities, parts availability and fuel consumption are all very important factors.

I used to "drift" my dads Mazda 1300 and 71 Celica on roads in
Clifton back in the day (obviously I didn’t know what it was called or knew anything about it for that matter) but it sure was fun.

If you want to mess with drifting before you actually build a car for it... find an empty road with lots of gravels (bajree) on it and try drifting

Please be very careful....the reason I stopped doing *drift" is because one day car flipped on me.

Good luck in your project. Building a drift car requires more than just selecting the car. There are modifications required in the suspension and weight balance of the car.

I have completed my drift project some time ago and the car is on paint and should be ready in 2 days. I will post pictures for your reference.

Since you're in Khi, you're most welcome to come over and have a look. its based on a 1975 Toyota Trueno.

nice car you got though..

but i am leaning more in the favor of a dikki wali gari..

thing is
after the project is done

its not going to be with me all of my life

will have to sell it some day..

and what most people want is a cng wali gari with a dikki..
