Want to Buy car in 11 lac budget

Salam To all

I am going to buy my first car in July Insha Allah . I have budget of 11 lac.

I am confused in making choice, Either i should go for used city or swift. I will use car on weekends only, no other use.

I need your honest suggestions. Please share pros and cons of both cars based on your personal experience.

Just my two cents.

If it's your first car then you may opt to start with a smaller car like used cultus and make sure you get your driving skills honed before you move to bigger and better cars.

Used i would never ever suggest you as you have budget whatever you buy, buy new. i own cultus and satisfied with it. but ofcourse you have other options like JDM warriors will come and will let you know how many options do you have. personally i tend to buy which is easily maintained and cheap in parts. e.g. cultus.

Buy WagonR VXL. Brand new and will fit in your budget quite nicely.

I am in Gojra.. 60Km away from Faisalabad. I will only use that or just parents. It should give at least 13-14 on highway..

A 2008 city. If roads are good. If roads are bad, a 2007 gli. If interested in something small, well wagonR would fit in

Roads are not carpeted ... but not that bad.. I will hardly use with in city.... only for weeklend visits to relatives.. out side the city.

For that budget you will get a slightly older city but a newer swift ... close your eyes and just get the swift ..its worth it ..plus the small body and the 1.3 cc engine make it quite nimble and fun for when you wanna put your foot down haha

Swift is not a nice family car. Cramped rear leg room, hard suspension, no ABS in the basic DX model and the list goes on. If you want a PKDM then brand new Wagon R vxl is your best bet. Otherwise you can buy a fresh import 660cc JDM with verifiable auction sheet, if the spare part availability of JDMs is good in Gojra.

As its your first car its better to get a brand new one as searching for a good used car is an art in itself that a person learns over time. Better to be safe than sorry.

Brother i have been in that very dilemma for the past one month.
In my opinion City car is City with no alternate in that budget. In your budget you should get 2009 model with +margin of 20~30K.
Now comes the trust/where to buy section. Never ever trust any of your close ones inspect the car properly in the daylight. Run the car @ 120 speed and observe any air flow/air leakage. Observe how the car has been maintained, coolant, oil etc. I recently bought a car from a trusted one and overlooked the the condition, believe me i am f....ed. Also observe whether the car has been on CNG or not. In my opinion CNG car sould be 40~50K less than the actual value. Never EVER TRUST while doing business, please.

Well, I have been to Gojra many times, you will really regret in maintaining Honda City in Gojra in a longer run, Go for 2009 / 2010 Corolla although I am a die hard Honda fan, but Corolla rules Gojra, Toba and vicinity. You might get a good Honda City in this budget but you wont be able to maintain that in a longer run while living in Gojra. Wait for M4 to get completed, then many of your nearby travels will be via Motorway and you can have Honda City then but .... till then .. Corolla is a must in that area.

City is just fine where you are.
Swift has noise issue in dashboard and is a small car. No match with city.
If you are OK with a smaller car, wagon R could be a very wise choice.

I opted for i-vtec 1.3L as it gave the best value for money according to my analysis.

I got it from Meezan Bank as I'm strictly against interest based financing.

Gave 70% downpayment. Paid registration charges upfront when car arrived.

The lease term is 3 years. And the monthly rental amounts to Rs. 20,500.

Everything e.g. takaful and tracker is included in the cost above.
