Want to do a car project - need advise

Dear Tech Friends,

I am thinking to do a car project like:

-I want to purchase an old mehran likely 1990 model with good body.
-Then install 660 CC japense engine
-Then 660 cc auto gear
-Then 660cc ac

Purpose is to use this as second car in rushy areas and save the new car.
I am from Rawalpindi.
Will it is good idea or crap ?
Please advise.

It would be a great idea if you could find one with minimal rust. Don't go for a japanese engine and conversion as It would be a waste of money imo. Just restore the vehicle into good condition and use it.

The amount of time, money and emotional turmoil isn't worth it. We do not have that level of expertise in our mechanics ustaads to pull off anything more than a jugar..

I'd rather buy a good home used cheap car with a good and healthy manual engine instead of driving in a frankenstein time machine
