Want to export Rice but got no experience

I have super export quality Rice available in best price and I want to export them to other countries but got no experience on how this procedure takes place. What will be the best way to start? do we have any exporters here? I would also appreciate to have local orders.

Well as far as I think, first you need to get a license. Spend some time in the local market and make some rapport. Only then you will be able to attract international buyers.

let me suggest you some proper real business. Why don't you start your own brand of rice products and distribute/market them yourself here or abroad?

We need a lot of rice here. There are already big fishes here distributing but If you can arrange some samples to local markets , i am sure you can export. Get in touch EBB and ask them the procedure to USA..

Basmati rice from Pakistan is famous all over the world. M sure we can find out which countries import from here. Finding a partner should not be an issue due to the internet these days. I can tell you from a decade old info that Maldives is one importer for sure. But the issue that comes up is that the buyer has to specify the percentage of 'broken' rice he wants, whatever that means. This is checked at the port in Carachi and it is well known that big exporters bribe the Customs' guys so that the new entrants' material is rejected but their own is forwarded.

As for direct export, u need local chamber of commerce membership and REAP (rice exporters association of Pakistan) membership... Both require NTN number of ur firm and endorsement by atleast one existing member.

Basmati ki main markets Dubai, Saudi Arab,Iran aur Europe hain... Btw direct export of rice is not as easy as it seems. We have better quality rice but India is kicking our A$$ in most markets due to their honesty and Govt support.

Well I consider TDAP and REAP better than EPB. I visited EPB website yesterday and was confused. It is now a website of MAGSNET... with gov.pk extension... Try it www.epb.gov.pk

Sure bro... My main business is sella rice (parboiled rice) so I already have presence in local grain market. We buy white super rice (kachi basmati) from Sialkot and narowal side... Repack it in our own bag (25 or 50kg) and then distribute it on shops of good repute. Good repute is necessary because most shops will demand credit and will pay in 5-15 days. Feel free to ask if anything else comes to mind
