Want to visit pakistan for 1 month and bring myCar

Hello Brothers. So glad to see a paksitani forum of wheels.

I am a Pakistani guy from Norway,wishing to take the long drive to my beloved county.

My problem is this. I dont know Jack.sh*** about taking the car to pakistan. I am a norwegian citizen with a norwegian passport, born in norway, and wish to bring my BMW 330 Ci, 3 liter, 240hp M3 styling to pakistan for one month, and cruze the roads. I have driven car in paksitan before, and works fine for me.

Can i as a foreigner (with a pakistani heart) visit pakstan in my car without beeing bugged by the customes? i wish to stay in pakistanfor 1-2 months.

Does anyone know the rules around this?
Please help. Or direct me to any wesite or someone i can contact for obtaining more information on how this works.

I also might wish to ship it from Germany to paksitan, and back when i wish to return to Norway.

Any ideas how i can get this done?

Yeah, why would you say something like that when i am comming to visit my family in pakistan, and need some info on this?

I just came back from a two week trip to Pakistan. Lived in America all my life, but visited as a kid often.

At the very least count on several door dings from traffic and parking. I went after 17 years and the traffic is much worse. Understand that there has been 50% increase in car sales in Pak over the last two years, so it is crush hour everywhere.

As far as customs, find a friend and grease the skids and you'll be alright.

We drove a VW microbus from Germany into Pak in 1969 and sold it...Something you may want to consider as I'm sure you could get a hefty premium for your beautiful ride.

BTW, It was a beautiful experience coming home and I met many PakWheels members who are my brothers now, and I am sure could help you too.

Also, your ride looks like the 333 hp engine, not the 240 hp from the last gen M3...what gives?

Also I like the cross drilled rotors...nice, very nice.

regarding the rims, i think i will manage,as when i come back home, i will give the rims for a geometry and new coloring These chances, i am willing to take to see my country. Was there just one year ago. Miss paksistan so much.

Anyway, still, does anyone know if i can drive to PK? what rute from germany should i take? Or should i book the car in a ship to karachi, and fly into karachi and take it from there?

What about the customes? would i have to obtains any tourist documenst for the car before handed, or can this be all setteled on the border? or how?

Please help.

id say drive through countries you dont have any problems then you may wanna go on ship till khi dock.,,

Shipping might just be the easier way out, but in that case i would ask for shipping from poland to paksistan, and after my vication is over, ship it back to poland.

if you facing limited time avalaible for long vacation. i suggest save the money for driving fuel.. simplfy it , fly here, hire a car here and see the country by road...cause if for any reason car breaks down in some foriegn land,, yr vacation is over! that too a BMW with high maintanance cost,, cause fuel grade are diffirent in countries and yr designed car for use with local fuel there.

yes,,workshops will charge you a lot of repairs. first thing that may go in your car is fuelpump cause you be using diffirent grade fuels here.

What about LPG? i have it installed aswell. But rarly used it.

I just spoke with PAK embessy person.

Wow, so weard rules man. I have to pay a tax like 10-15 lakh according to him when i enter the country with this Ride.( but that will be refunded as i was told).

Does anyone know how much i will have to deposit, and where to obtain such information? I need to prepare brefore handed. I wont fly around with more then 10LAKH in my pockets :-). Help
