Finally found a nice GS500e. It's a 96 model, islamabad registered and naval police auctioned. Engine is in good condition with 56k mileage. Doesn't need any work except for new tires. Price is a little on the high side (150k) but i think i'm going to get it tomorrow.

Nice looking bike, the front tyre looks in good shape though it doesn't look much like a GS tyre.

as for as my knowledge that its not a 96 model its 92-94 model and also tank and fairing changed with 96 model because recently auctioned navy gs 500 is of 92-94 model and in 96 model there is a silver engine not black black engine

Actually i just found another bike on PW. It's demand is quite reasonable too, i'm going to go check it out tomorrow. Does this look like a 97 to you?

Thanks for all the help guys. I really wanted to buy the black one but he wasn't budging on the price, wanted 155k for it. I ended up buying the red one, it needs some work but it'll still turn out cheaper than the black one at the end. I'm going to get some work done on it and post pics once it's ready.

Can you guys recommend me a good mechanic in islamabad? The guy with the black bike mentioned that there's a good one in G6.

it needs not some work entire engine including crank pieces have to be built and smoke also comes from cylincer bcz of rings and piston 70k for red is allright

The guy fixed the engine since you saw it last. There's no smoke & it's running well. I took it to the same mechanic who restored the black bike and he checked it out. Just needs some general maintenance (oil & air filter, breaks etc) and a new set of tires. Will get proper details tomorrow i left it for him to check it out thoroughly.

Been a long time coming but here it is. Running great, had to get the following work done on it to bring it up to speed:
Oil change, new spark plugs, carb & air filter cleaning, new valve seals, new ignition coils, new battery, new paint job, repaired front mud guard, replaced front tyre as it was worn out.

Still looking for a good condition rear tyre. Also need to paint the frame and rims.
