I would like to know that if i suppose purchase a GENUINE part for instance oil Filter from the open market or brought one back with me from korea, Just because i did not purchase or have it installed from the local dealership will this void my warranty. Legally are the dealerships bound by law to honour the warranty if the part is genuine regardless of where it was purchased from. How will they proceed to prove that the part is not genuine.
