Wateen-Worst ISP ever

Wateen apparently implemented a fair usage policy of 40GB on all users.Including Unlimited connections
Consumers are informed that there was no fair usage policy on wateen's unlimited packages before a week or so..

I just came to know this cap as my speeds got down to 25/30 KB/s for the whole day..Immediately called wateen customer service and speaked out my disgust on which i came to know about this this recent policy change.

No one was notified (not even by email) and when I asked the customer support representative he calmly replied... 'Sir ye policy ko 4 din pehle hee implement huwi hai...iss liyay aap ko isski information nai thee.'

Oh and to top is all off..they implemented it at the end of the month, making sure that the maximum will be affected by this policy.

Then a higher authority called me and told that it may not be possible as it is a policy so the cap will remain intact..He also advised me to email wateen customer service regarding this cap.I have no access to landline thus i am forced to use wateen wireless services..I cant play MMOrpg games but still could download stuff..That was the sole reason i continued using wateen..As my downloads exceed 60 GB/Month..A 40 GB cap on 1 MB UnLimited connection for which i am paying 1650 Rs monthly IS A RIP OFF..I stopped short of recharging my net..And i am now considering any other alternative..

Wateen maggotry policies disses customers..I strongly advise not to subscribe to this monopolist ISP.They will reconsider their policies when their revenues will drop..We should avoid using this service till they grow out some brains..

40 GB cap on a 1MB UL package is a serious rip off..They are playing with our hard earned money..

Also please advise a possible wireless alternative..I am thinking of going for evo 3.1?ANy views?

i m using wateen for last six months and know about this policy of 40GB when i start using wateen this not a new policy.
did u ever used evo.
if u didnt.
you ll certainly change your mind about worst isp after using it.

I have been using wateen for past 2 years and this is a recent policy change..It has been confirmed via wateen's customer service..PTCL optical fiber landline DSL connection is unparalleled..It just lacks good customer service..Regarding 3.1 evo its very good here in pindi/isb region..

People who use Internet agressively(60+GB/month)..For them 40 GB data rate is peanuts..The point is;it is not expected from an unlimited package that the cap is just 40GB..for a price of Rs 1650..Just adding 400 rs and i can get a 3.1 Mbps connection..

switch to Qubee, although they have a 40 GB cap but if u pay ur bill before 8th of each month, the bandwidth cap is tripled i.e 120 GB!

on Mobilink the limit is 30 GB !! after that it is disabled

OP, do you remember reading ToS document when you decided to signup?

If there was no mention of bandwidth throttling/caps/limits for the unlimited plan, then you should get advice from a competent attorney. I know that there is a court system setup to handle just such issues.
