Water from Silencer what does it means

Guys... i always heared about that if water comes from silencer it means car engine is too good and if not it means the rings and piston of engine is weak ... what do you guys think about it and what is the reality behind this please let me know

When the exhaust pipe is cold, water vapor will condense as the exhaust cools on the pipe. After the pipe heats up, the vapor will not condense.

Remember that the combustion of hydrocarbon fuel produces both carbon dioxide AND water vapor as a normal part of the process. All gasoline engines produce water vapor and all water vapor condenses if the exhaust pipe is cool.

So dont worry be happy enjoy life

yes u have heard 100% true...if water come outside frm your car's silencer then it is shows the complete combsution inside the engine and it also shows that the engine is is very good condition....if it don't come outside then it shows that the engine is lil week....usually water don't come outside frm older cars....

dear my car gives out water inb cylincer in the morning but the rings are week and gives smoke when its hot. wht u say to this

^Get those rings checked, and then get the oil changed. Make sure your mechanic puts in the right amount of oil. I was told that our desi mistri ends up putting the entire bottle into the engine. You'd know this because of that blue smoke out the back.

agar car ka gasket urawa ho toh woh bee acha khasa paani karti hai like 1 full class of water!heheh so this theory is really lame n dumb keh agar paani niklay engine is good n crap!old mechanic walay myth!

If water comes only in morning on the time of first start & there are some drops then ok. If water keep coming all the time & car is not running well then "A RED SIGN"

Do check your radiator first if water level fall down all the time then go to a good mechanic & explain him.He will took care of your car. In that case be ready for Lamba Kharcha"

What I have heard is when engine is perfectly tuned and and its mixture is perfectly set at the required level, car give out water.
AM I correct or not?

Well this is not completely true.
If water keep coming then it means gasket leaked like aamirq said in his answer.In that case engine needs a good doctor for surgery. We dont know what cameup when u open a cars engine. like i said "be ready"

my santro's engine is weak but it also emits water from the exhaust in the morning and gives smoke when i rev it hard and gulps engine oil like a two-stroke engine. lol. what is supposed by this?????

one more question, if your car is on cng or petrol and it gives water when started first in a day or morning and on the other hand it also gives smoke with water for some time untill the car is at normal temperature than wat does it means? water plus smoke at once, and gets normal after 10 mins or so

Well tuned, meaning good mixture, Tappets well adjusted ,Plug gap and timing good all in sync. Nothing to do with new or old cars or week engine. I agree good combustion. I have seen cars emitting water after 4-5 kms when silencer is hot. So it has all to do with good combustion.

lol it does'nt mean that ur engine is 100% if it gives water from silencer it just means that your car if perfectly tuned .. yaar i had a suzuki Fx around 6 years back and its engine was very weak and it used to give water from silencer every day

WATER DOESNT COME OUT OF OLD CARS

I think thats not true ^^, as water comes out of the exhaust pipe of my 20year old 1988 accord! its a sign that ur engine is in very good condition.
