Wax/Polish confusion, HELP!

Hello ppl. I just got a new car (corolla Gli) and its been 6 months now and i have washed it only 3 times coz we dont take it out that much and cover it at home so there is no need.

I recently purchased Sonax CarPolish (http://www.sonax.com/sonax-e/katalog_product.php?show_cat=7&show_product=300100) . It was recommended by the shop person instead of wax. Since this polish also has natural Carnauba wax in it, do i still need to buy a separate wax for the car or this polish is enough to protect the car's clear coat, shine and everything?

Also, how often do i need to wax my new car? The water beads still form on it, meaning its wax coating from he factory is still there.

So what do you guys suggest I should do? Get a wax only or use this Sonax Polish.

never 'polish' a new car as it removes the clear coat of the paint to give you the shining finish. Yours is a new car therefore wax it which seals the paint and adds a protective coating.

Sonax is a very good brand. Go for wax from either Sonax, Mothers or Meguiars. These waxes are expensive costing more than 2000PKR but you will definitely feel the difference.

alwys go for the wax with the highest percentage of carnuba wax that you can afford.

The most cheapest and the best one with carnuba is Formula1 but be careful replicas with the name Formula are being sold every where.

carnauba is a South American palm tree noted for production of a high-quality wax, somehow it became the industry standard for polishes and it provides the best finish.

Meguiar’s Gold Class liquid wax is probably the best "single application" wax, but Autoglyms super resin & ultra high gloss polish are probably the best "multi-stage" polish.

no need to change - the Sonax is perfectly fine as its both a lite cleaner(polish) & a protectant (Carnauba wax).
Should be applied about once a month or as necessary.

I exchanged the polish with Turtle wax super hard shell...am gonna wax it tomorrow...is this wax enough to protect my cars paint shine and elegance or do i need some other product too?

No need to worry, SONAX is a oem manufacturer for BMW, mercedes,OPel Audi and also official supplier for formula 1 maclaren mercedes.

as you know pakistan has a very bad weather we need some cleaner wax, so it does not effect your paint, even though if you go to dewan motors they are also offering bmw auto politur and same polish same chemical is sonax polish which you have only just the difference is name.

you cannot compare sonax with turtle wax, and any other brand, it is a superior brand.
