What are the requirements for a person to open up his own Car manufacturing company?

Pakistani government, business n financial community r extremely hostile to any new idea.. if u can built one, and roam around, u ll get orders for sure, and that too from those who know u.. that way u would be catering a niche market; earning good money and wont be a direct threat to the screw driver automobile factories in pakistan...

I haven't built any stuff. Was just curious about the idea, and the cost if one starts with small/economy cars first. Yeah you're right the business community would be the biggest obstacle.

an engine would cost u .. lets say 50k, add 25k for tranny... 50k for a iron frame, 50k roughly for body.. 10k for wiring, 22k for cockpit, 30k for seats, 45k for glass, 20k for lights... and 40k for tires n rims.. its just a rough estimate.. can vary alot based on your design,

Ive always had the dream to have my own Automobile company in Pakistan. Whenever I tell it to anyone, the answer is the same, "Its impossible". Now, Im not a rich guy from the block, just finished my F.Sc, now planning on doing BE in Mechatronics. What I want to know are the pre-requisites/requirements for opening up my own company in Pakistan, and the steps on how I may be able to achieve that, The amount of money involved in it and how Id be able to get that kinda amount, testing/certification procedures, etc.

No this project is not going to cost you millions but hundred of millions, may be more.
I m not against dreaming big but try to dream those dreams that are achievable, with a set action plan in place. Other wise you ll end in a depressive episode which might not have a cure.

but they are called illegal vehicles thanks to the system .. they get assembled from parts. saw it on facebook and you tube some years back
