What are the symptoms of weak engine rings

How do we come to know that the engine rings have become weak and they need to be replaced? what are the symptoms

That is not strictly true. What if valve seals are bad and rings are not? The car will still reduce oil, and smoke (in certain conditions).

if you rev your car harder at stand still if bluish smoke comes out from back then rings are worn out

what if car is just 40k kms old and reducing engine oil but there is no smoke of any kind neither any starting problem or vibration .

no as far as i m concerned i haven't seen any of them ,i was using shell helix plus at that time and the stated mileage was 5000km , i didn't check my engine oil so often ,so luckily one day i just happened to check my engine oil at 4400km and the oil was reduced .

I m really confused now because the engine seems to be fine as no smoke release,no vibration,no starting problem,car starts usually on first or second sulf(sorry i dont know the right spellings of this bold word so bear it with me n i hope you understood), there is no oil leakage atleast apparently ,

Even my friend checked my car and said the engine is fine ,there may be something wrong with the quality of oil which resulted in reduction so i m confused

Yeah one thing there was a problem in current supply to the plugs because of carbon( mechanic told me this that there was carbon on the point due to which current was not flowing smoothly to plugs as a result there was lot of missing and engine was vibrating and i had to push accelerator hard to avoid that missing thingy) due to which the plugs were sparking also the plugs were quite old (and now i have replaced them with new plugs ) does this have any effect on oil reduction?

weak rings will cause low compression and excess blowby - a jammed oil scraper ring will cause oil consumptio (rare in modern engines).

Usually mechanics make a fortune by this ring faarigh thingie by decucing the factor for oil consumption, the real culprit is bad valve seals.

You can confirm the ring blowouts by
if you see constant smoke from the tail pipe regardless of rpms
if you see plumes of smoke from the breather

BUT

If you see smoke right after idling - you have bad valve seals
If your engine oil level decreases like stupid for no apparent reasons relating to the above - you have bad valve seals.

There is no kind of smoke whatsoever in any case , thats the thing which has held me in dilemma as you mentioned that in case of weak rings or valves there should be a smoke in respective situations.

I have been checking out for smoke for 4 days by both idling and as well as rpm but not a single cloud of smoke is found

On choke yes there is smoke but its normal for every car to throw smoke on choke

No i don't feel in loss of power its a mehran and it easily goes beyond 100KM/h on cng .it gets started on first or second attempt on cng

Its the first time my engine oil got reduced , i checked the oil for few days when i changed it after that i didn't bother to coz my car as not having any problem with so i thought why should i , i also was not aware of this problem.

Its the first time my car reduced oil, and yes the oil was reduced to a large extent .

3. crankcase breather pipe (compression rings OK)

Finally examine all spark plugs, if they are free from oil then engine is ok both valves and rings.

My guess is also fake engine oil which was over driven above its recommended drain interval of 500kms. Try getting oil from company operated outlets like zic service center, caltex pumps, shell pumps or petromin from authorized outlet in your city.

yes the engine is not heating up the guage always remain below the center point

the old plugs were sparking but mechanic said they were not getting the proper current due to carbon but after removing the carbon and replacing old plugs i have driven ~200km and there is no spark or misfire whatsoever

but i didn't understand your 3rd point i.e crankcase breather pipe kindly elaborate it

yes the engine is not heating up the guage always remain below the center point

the old plugs were sparking but mechanic said they were not getting the proper current due to carbon but after removing the carbon and replacing old plugs i have driven ~200km and there is no spark or misfire whatsoever

No the carbon was not on the plugs rather it was on the point that supply current to the plugs ,(in case of mehran the plastic box from where the wires come out and go to the plugs,i dont know what it is called generator or what usually in mehran it comes in maroon color)

In this image you will be seeing maroon/brown plastic cover from where the wire of plugs are going ,that was the point where there was carbon i.e inside that brown plastic cover

Ok. you are talking about the distributor cap. If plugs were clean and free from any kind of carbon or oil then engine is ok. Oil drain interval of mineral oil is not more than 3K kms and for semi synthetics (SAE 10-40W) not more than 5k Kms.

No there was no carbon on plugs, but do plugs spark if there is no proper current supply to plugs due to carbon or anyother reason?

I was using shell helix plus at that time which has a stated mileage of 5k km
