What do you think about this bill with Honda Margalla?

Hi Users!
So I took my Honda City 2015 to Honda Margalla. The car was initially tripping the AC after speed was 100kph, and this only happened once the car was in motion for 1-1.5 hour. The AC will then come back on with a hissing sound if I reduced the car to 70 80 kph and will not go off till I crossed 100 105 once more. This went on 2-3 trips on motorway. Then on one such ride the car started flashing overheating at 120+ initially which would go away if speed reduced. I checked, radiator coolant was 100% and both fans were working. Also, the AC tripping issue persisted.

With this issue, I took it to HM. There was no error on the computer attached. They said they will first flush the radiator for overheat issue. They did and said the diagnostic showed no errors, and said should not heat up. (I believe this was not needed now, but at that time I consented).

Then they told me (showed me) that the car only had 115 gm of gas, and topped it up. AC was fine (barring the trip thing imo) earlier but now after refilling gas it is super chill. Like ice cold chill.

Here is a copy of my bill 18.5K basically. What do you think? How much/ what did I gain/lose from taking it to Honda 2S.

A/C gas charging amount is almost okay +/- ..
what did they flush the radiator with is another story.. otherwise radiator service costs somewhere around 1500- 2000 rupees , but since they flushed it with something maybe that's why they charged 10500 ..
A/C behaves abnormally due to over or underfilled gas, so that's correct when they told you they'll top up the gas...
now check for overheat issues, if that's also resolved.. i think you dodged hitting a big hard rock that they didn't tell you since your car overheated you need to replace head gasket : )

They checked the gasket it was not leaking or anything - I did not let the car overheat I stopped as soon as I saw that red warning and it went away the moment I deaccelerated. I drove by stopping every 40 mins or so for 5-10 mins, did not use AC and tolerated extreme heat for hours.

did they refilled it honda coolant? i dont see bill for the coolant

I fail to understand someone having issues with paying 18.5K for a problem that the dealership solved. Had you taken this to a mechanic, God knows what his diagnosis would be and how much would you have ended up paying eventually. Shukar karen gari ka masla hal hogaya, gari rakhi hai tou dil bara rakhen.

I was just asking for opinions - What I really do not understand is why do folks have this judgement/ condescending tone. For instance, you could have always said I believe this saved you money, and this would have sufficed to answer what I had originally asked, no? Also ~ if someone does want to know cost saving methods, its their choice, or you have the agency over them?

I just shared my opinion, apologize if I hurt your sentiments. I did not mean to put you down. My point was, thinking of cost savings when servicing your car is something you should not do. This is how workshops take advantage of you and ruin your car.

Ac gas charging is listed 22rs per gram. Which is justified as honeywell USA is also 22rs per gram at our workshop.
But mentioning pakwheels would allow you to further get discount on it. However Radiator wash is something not justified and I don't believe any such phenomenon of Radiator wash. And this was not required because ac compressor has heat sensor In it and once not tripped it pops up the light aswell. So only refrigerant top up would have fixed your issue... The dealership has this habit of replacing everything without identification of the root cause of the problem. However what's done is done now.

dani_kk My AC was working fine till last night - Today I took the car out (it was parked in sun) and drove for 5-10 kms and the AC wont turn on. I had to pick up a friend who was a bit late so I waited while idling for 5 mins and it turned on for a bit. Then on my way back to home it tripped again. I went for grocery to nearby Markaz and it only turned on intermittently for like 10 seconds the entire trip. Was very short though. I checked the coolant level its full - I topped up the reserve tank though. I turned on the car AC while it was standing but it did not start in 2-3 minutes! What could be wrong?
