What does A means in LEI Series

What Does A means in LEI series of Lahore numbers, As the Alphabat in not used in any other series.

Simple, so there can be another LEI same number with B alphabet.

In the year 2015 Motor registration authority Punjab computerised all old vehicles registered in 70’s & 80’ and cancelled their old registration numbers replacing them with these new numbers every city had an additional alphabet I like Lahore had LEI Rawalpindi had RII Chakwal had CHI.

those numbers were different. those plates didn't got year code stamped.

When the main series will end; A will be added to differentiate between the main and new series.

As a very simple example, just for the sake of explanation; for LEI-15-0001 to LEI-15-9999, 9999 vehicles can get registered. For the 10,000 one, the series will move to LEI-15-A-0001 (if LEJ series does not get introduced, i.e. LEJ-15-0001).
