What happens if you turn car ac and heater at the same time?

I just realized that I have been running both of them for 2 hours straight without knowing. Obviously heater was on but also ac button was also pressed with little light on, I just didn't noticed it. Both of them are working separately. Thanks

You'll get dry air which helps to defrost windows

They are designed to work simultaneously too inorder to give a comfortable cabin temperature and or defrosted windows.

Demist/defog of your windscreen works instantly when dry warm air is directed on it. AC dries the air while heater heats it.

But don't use both unless you really need to. AC sucks a bit of power, and that costs fuel, and that costs both your pocket and the environment and the country and........

You get a very cozy ride in winters with no fogging on your windscreen.

Nothing to worry about it, it'll burn extra fuel. As most of people already mentioned it helps to clear the fog in winters, and take just few seconds if you turn fan direction nob to defrost position at most right side.
