my friend,, i have audio and car audio specialists as friends, i am talking to you from totally diffirent wavelength, now i dont go ask them, i train them. i have enough information about audio,, that can turn this wheels website into a audiophile website till admins kick me out,,,,again i am happy you got good sound system, but techinically slightly diffirents designs ,, .. for example if yr sitting in driver seat, such woofers enclosures are known as rear firing designs.
btw: i have friends who work in JBL , polkaudio,, etc. so i dont really need to teach myself from a local car audio store,, what kind of subwoofers designs are there. like i said i have been designing speakers decades back,, as a matter of fact,, yr so called bose patent,, i have also made for my home use before that indian chap got it patent.
