What is a LSD gearbox

my mechanic has asked to install a
LSD
gearbox in order to reduce the wheel spin .....will it help n what is the
price. by the way my car is turboed

LSD means LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENCIAL
its very useful in dragraces less wheel spin more grip on road and car will launch good

Dude that will increase will spin when turning but in straight line i dont think it will reduce wheel spin. It will be almost the same i think. Its better to upgrade your suspension and rims/tyres.

price depends on condition and you didnt even mention what engine you have. But you did mention you have turbo in it. wonder why??

LSD in a fwd is affective for high speed cornering only.

can u explain what do u mean by Wheelspin? in a FWD

I believe that u dont enter and exit the corners as in circuit racing rite? so there is no wheelspin.

secondly LSD gear box in D15 not sure. coz LSD gearbox is for B16B, B18C R and K20A and other cars in honda.
u should have good suspension setup like Tein coilovers at least type HA. it is a bit hard for streets in PAK but excellent grip and control.

And hafeez is i think also right that you dont have a lsd transmission for d15s. There may be one but you will have to import it and it will be very expensive and not worth the money.

So just get broader wheels like lets say about 245s. and some good dunlops on them. And remember chrome dont give you any better performance then simple cheap ones.
And get new shocks + springs + coilovers + strut bars + sway bars and your handling will definaately be better.

when i start a race on full throttle only one of my tyre is spinning n other is jammed so i cant take a pick on full throttle
