What is Advancer in car?

i have cultus Carbi running on CNG that give jerks in HOT timings like, afternoon.but works fine in evening/night.

as per CNG guy there is some problem in Advancer and its not giving proper current to COIL its under the dashboard area, and now he has bypassed it, and asked me to test for two days, if it fix then come back he will permanently remove advancer.

My concern is if it fix the issue, shouldnt i get new advancer? or its ok to remove it, as per CNG guy, advance has no significant value and car is fine with out it as well.

advancer will used to maintain timing on both petrol and CNG if u will remove the advancer and advance the timing by distributor then ur car will start knocking on petrol on CNG it will run perfectly

ok just for additional information, in last instant of my car jerking it was fuel mixing issue with cng, so he remove the PETROL unit all together from my car , and said me ne ise direct kerdia hai, ab fuel pump tab on hoga jab ap ki car petrol per hogi, and it will increase life of fuel pump.
not sure if that was a wise decision by me or not to let him take out that part of landizoro:D

yeah it was a wise decision seems like ur ignition coil is faulty and its good thet u have installed a cutoff relay for pump this will definitely increase the life of fuel pump

As per tayab motor peshawar head mechanic he said advancer in 1000 cc car specially in VXR, Cultus plays important role. It changes timing when you do conversion between petrol and CNG. He has showed me practically using timer equipment. That in CNG value is 20 because CNG power is less so value is 20 and in petrol degrees should be 10 because petrol power is more compare to CNG. He said it is impossible for us to manually change the timing all the time mean if you are driving in Cng then if you change to petrol then manually you will rotate delco ( distributor ) clockwise or anticlockwise then you will use timer equipment to check that degrees are 10 or not. Then you will drive in petrol. So it is impossible for us to do like this, so advancers are used which automatically set the degrees according to fuel. Unfortunately 1 year ago one stupid electrician remove advancer from my VXR that time it was a starting issue and he removed advancer with wiring. Then few days back when I was facing problem in petrol so mechanic told me that your petrol consumption is more and engine also heat up quickly reason? On petrol my car degrees were set on 20 for cng and on same degrees I was driving in petrol. So flow of petrol to engine was double so more consumption and heating issue. And new original advancer genuine for vxr price is almost 6000 and in low value 3 to 4000
