^in simple words it means that the base and everything of the car remains the same, only cosmetic and interial changes (sometimes mechanical changes) are made to the car which includes the headlights, taillights, bodykits, grille etc. Just as the 2005 Civic (Eagle Eye) is a Face-Lifted Version of the 2002 Civic (Cat Eye). i hope u get my point.

many examples....... the city 05 brought major changes to the previous models changing alot of the designs as there were flaws in it....... the mercedes facelift there car like after 4-5 years and changing the exterior mostly and adding up some new features that were made in that era or so
