What is LSD?? what is its function?? is it add some performance to the gears??? some one told me that it is use to avoid skidding in first gear...

it basically distributes engine power to both the wheels rather than only 1 wheel to power the car... the cars traction gets better and wheel spin is reduced rapidly, around 70-80%.....
SimpleLIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL
Very usefull in rainy, snow and muddy situtions:)
Limited Slip Differential
It helps increase traction & grip of the car on the road as well as help keep the car in best gear possible; which is very helpful in snow, ice, mud & rain.I havent checked it, but use the link insaan send,
@All thanks for the help...is this only useful in front-wheels cars or it can be used in rear-wheelers?
Hi-po Civics and Integras have been using it for quite some time. If I'm not mistaken, all BMW M-cars have had it, not so sure about Mercedes AMGs though.
