Driving automatic is a breeze. You are relaxed, one hand is free most of the time, similarly left foot is free, too. You are always in the correct gear, so engine will never stall as it happens sometimes in manual car at slow speed. Also car will not slide back at stops as sometimes manual cars do. If you drive sensibly, you will get decent mileage in automatic as well.
