I bought cultus now, kindly tell me best Engine oil for Cultus and when change after interval?

I prefer Shell Yellow for max 2500 km -- friends and mechanic suggests me it can run till 3K.

Bro wont both of these use the same oil as the engine is same???? The previous one was carby so it had different oil

SN or lower grades are fine for EFI. For Euro II, nothing below SM should be used because of the catalytic converter.

Not at all. 10w30 is not to be used in a suzuki engine if the ambient temperature exceeds 30 degrees

Aoa... I m using Caltex formula 10W-30 SM from last 3 years and my car previous owner also using it and he suggest me to use it. I m living in ISB/RWP. No issue with my engine at all. My car Engine in pristine condition. This is my experience if you have any bad experience with it then share with us too. But in my opinion it is awesome oil in MINERAL base oil category.

Cultus engine was made in late 80's old technology that need ZDDP and modern engine not need ZDDP. Most of the modern engine oil like synthetic oil have very little amount or absent the ZINC content in it. CULTUS need it i my opinion using synthetic in cultus is waste of money. Go for good MINERAL BASE oil like formula Caltex...
The change interval of Caltex Formula recommended by Caltex Dealership is 5000km but I change after 4000km. I never touch to 5000km, max 4500km is good for engine and most importantly is fresh the air filter after every 1000-1200km which improve oil life and fuel consumption too...
