What is this button on my steering

I just bought Vezel RS Hybrid. I don't understand the function of this button. When I press this button and speak up, my voice echos in the cabin through built-in speakers.

But what's the usage of this?
Is there any way to get the complete user manual for this car in English language?

New cars come with owners manual.
We should ask for the manual if we are buying 2nd hand car from the selling party. As the manual is part of the car essential for daily uses and references.

The car is designed and optimized for a certain part of the planet known as market and once it becomes unfit for that market it is written off and scraped in that market and are deprived with their parts like manuals.

Unfortunately they land in our country and traded against our precious foriegn reserves. Our people are bound to buy them as the new cars have long delivery date and they also lack in features.

But the result are as found in your question. It will take a hit and trial approach to resolve the query

The book is not considered as a part of the car hence buyer never demands it from sellers and despite paying premium prices never gets to know all the functions of his car. Even they dont know which fuel is suited most to their car's engine and consider Hi Octane as Aab e Hayaat for the car.

JDM vehicles have only Japanese language user manuals, pretty useless for any other market.
besides that the PKDM OEM does not acknowledge such vehicles for their service line up. They make sure to keep such vehicles away from dealerships to avoid customer confrontation.

On another note the inflow of the Japanese scrap is also a cause of foriegn exchange drain from the national exchequer. We cry for losing strength of PKR but dont stop wasting the foriegn exchange on the import of the crap.

Because the local cars are over priced, bad quality and far less in features. On top of that the companies break promises and no one is to ask them.

I booked a Proton X70 in Feb 2021. The car is still not delivered. The car price is increased twice since I booked and I have to pay the increased price. The company is procrastinating the delivery and keep increasing the price. I don't have time to go to consumer courts and all. So, I ended up buying a Honda Vezel. At least I could give my money and get the car right away.

It's better to buy Japanese "crap" instead of local vehicles, unless there is a serious government regulatory body to maintain the price and delivery of local cars.

What good are quality and features if your vehicle is always running with errors or permanent failures?

Similar example

Carrier branded AC units are great, but are useless in Pakistan because you wont even find small parts like starting relay for them or any temperature probe etc when it goes bad.

While local made brand can be bought, serviced and repaired easily.

You chose to give your money to an outfit (Proton) which are literally goofballs in production and supplies in Pakistan. Its your fault for believing in them. I personally ask questions and demand empirical data as evidence of their answers.

Otherwise Pakistani business outfits claim themselves as “sole dealer etc. having 4 million bookings etc, but only 3 deliveries against those 3 million.

Or just ask them what kind of assembly line they have? How much manual labour involved, how much spares in stock? Or how are they training their technicians/mechanics.

Awaam in Pakistan only look for touchscreen, bluetooth and other useless accessory features and “SHAPE” while completely overlooking its usability and service life

JDM cars are one of the reason why people use banking channels to send remittances in Pakistan. JDM cars paid nothing from state bank reserve but technically get the foreign exchange in Pakistan. Car bought from Japan or any other country get payment from a foreign settled Pakistani. The duty paid in USD from outside Pakistan as remittance.
Local made cars, 70% parts imported by L/C and govt need to pay in USD. High prices, old technologies, , delivery issues, inferior quality, spare parts supply issues, warranty claim issues etc.
Similar case with imported units, burden on state bank reserves.

Can you name a single locally made SUV or even crossover under 5.5 million?
Proton was the only option because I needed an SUV in that budget.

Now I got a Vezel (crossover/SUV) under 5 million. Which you cannot even think of in local cars.
I also want to support local industry and all. But they also need to stop ripping off the Awaam as well. It always takes two to tango.

Unless we have price, safety features and quality checks on the local cars, people will keep preferring Japanese cars over local ones.

That is the truth to the core about such imports.
We lose our foriegn reserves to get the scrap and junk from Japan and we feel like its the best we bargained.

Any thing coming in the country has the price tag in USD that too from the national reserve exchequer.

The loopholes are causing mafias to hide their grey money through this channel too as the poor laborer never imagins that he has imported a car worth millions as he returnes to the country after serving his best days of life in nearby countries.
