In my case, the first Yamaha junoon showroom guy tool out for me had a faulty fuel gauge, instead of being at empty it was showing full petrol without any patrol ans without key turned on.
And yes look closely for dents, scratches, imperfections in paint job, all electronics working such as hi/low beam, indicators, brake lights, odor lights etc.
Check for battery acid level, chain, air pressure(its low for a new bike from factory, which is the correct pressure for single person) clutch and brakes has proper free play.
Start and listen to the engine closely, any strange sound etc.
Also I don't trust on the patrol they provide, take along a 1.5 ltr bottle and use it. Don't take petrol from them as it is not pure usually, bad for ur carb and engine.
