It is a type of fuel injectio method that is more accurate over its counterpart, the CPI (center point injection or throttle body injection). The acronym stands for Multi Poin/Port Fuel injection and is also marketed as Sequential Fuel injection by some manufacturers. It uses multiple injectors (usually one per cylinder) to meter the precise amount of fuel rquired by the engine at various operating conditions!
