The Polo has been in production since 1975 and has been launched in the Indian market in its fifth generation version.

There has to be a "connection" between me and this Carrera!. I keep meeting it often in the most unlikely of places. There's also a brand new white R8 , red Boxster and creamish Escalade among other new imports in Chennai and i've never had the opportunity to click them. I've seen the Boxster and Escalade driving in the opposite direction and have you noticed the absence of American cars in my spotting pics here?!.There are so many 300C's and other US cars including Taurus et al, i've seen them but never had the chance to click 'em!!. Either they were going in the opposite direction or the lights changed and/or my phone cam wasn't on. Guys have posted pics of these cars in some of the Indian auto forums. Which brings me to the main reason for this post, which is the impending opening of an authorized Porsche showroom in Chennai. I shall endeavour to cover the event and post a report. Cheers!

There's a clean 1993 Maruti 1000 in good running(64k kms) condition in my garage that you can buy for RS45,000 max.I can't ask for more than the above figure.re: Vitara, i do take horrible photos. The lighting always goes against me. It's just like i always spot German premium cars. All the others escape from my camera.lol. The Polo will be a hit because it is priced at between RS4.5-5.5lacs. Otherwise , the interior is a bit dull. Great car overall , though.

It was nice rapping with you all about my impressions of the Indian car scene in this thread here on PW. Thanks again for all your comments. I deleted a hate message in this page and i got the message. Worse than the message is the fact that it was allowed to stay on, instead of being deleted by Mods. This would never have been allowed in any website forum worldwide. Also, i would have overlooked a personal attack against me but not against all Indians or all Pakistanis or anyone else.So be it. i did repote abuse about it but i guess, it wasnt working, secondly there are guds and bads almost every where, u shud probably ignore the odds against the evens. people such as that guy @ramzan 786, wid such a name proves that he wat was he, and was probably faking the name as well. As u have stayed at Pakwheels for quiet long, u noe a decent person doesnt has such a name to. so i hope to c u posting as u did and ignore that guy as if it never happend

Well i supose thats natural, Germans get more lights :P, do post more on the Vitara, wid the older Vitara being a flop em not expecting Suzuki people launching this shape any where soon in Pakistan, altho this car luks a zillion times better then any Vitaras previusly designed. But... so i wish it makes it as brand new Suzuki in Pakistan too...

Something DEEP happened this Sunday. The Saints won!. Lousiana is my home state and though i moved to New York after graduation, there was always a piece of LA in me. One of my salesman buddies at the local Merc dealers calls me to invite me to check out the new GL on Monday!!. It's still in the showroom. I will get there soon!. Meanwhile, one update and some pics, all taken while driving around town!.
