The driver of this BEAT didn't dart round the traffic circle like i'm used to. The 2010 new Wagon-R will be in the showroom soon. I caught a glimpse of a test car earlier in the day and the side profile looks cool. Unfortunately the front of the car has been redesigned by Maruti-Suzuki's Indian design division to differentiate it from the Japanese car. Life's like that. Can't have everything.

Talk about Beating 'round the bush! I haven't seen too many of these little munchkins since they hit the dealerships a few months ago...or maybe it's just me. A nice set of rims and slightly wider tyres will do this baby good.

The BEAT seems to be very popular in Chennai market. I saw a brand new BEAT getting a set of alloys the other day at a wheel shop. The car has ribbons et al and seemed like the owner had driven straight there from the dealer!. I agree with your comment.

90% of the photos in this thread are of cars in Chennai as i'm based here. The rest are from other cities. German cars are most popular among imports in this city. Ofcourse, there's other cars too. For more extensive pics of the import car scene in Chennai and other Indian cities visit any Indian auto website as many contribute pics. This is a 'one man show'.

I have been running into a lot of Audis recently. Thankfully, not literally , as i wouldn't be typing this!.And, a Roller too!.

Tastefully done Civic, yeah?. I zoomed my cam a bit and the pic turned out shiny but the paintwork looked cool in the flesh. Contrast the Civic with the white Verna in the pic. A lesson in how to ruin an otherwise nice car!

The author of the pics has the luck of the Irish in spotting new cars before they drive in the showrooms and i'm waiting for his scoop pics of the new Swift too!. Anyways , here's the new Wagon R and all i can say is Maruti-Suzuki has another best seller to crow about. Expected price range is between RS 3.5-4.5 lacs plus tax based on variant and the engine is the new K-series block tweaked for this car . The official launch date is April 23rd and full details will be out then. Ofcourse, i will have my own review and pics of the car in this thread and as a Maruti-Suzuki customer i've been invited for the local launch party here in Chennai . Till then and your opinions of the car are welcome given the redesign of the front and rear by Suzuki's Indian design division. Compare these pics below with the Japanese Wagon R!.

Today was a state holiday and driving around was a breeze and a pleasure!. Topped the night off with a medium rare tenderloin steak at the Texas Grill with salad and vanilla ice cream for dessert. Tomorrow is a regular day and the traffic nightmares will recur. Some pics while driving around today.

Autocar(India) magazinewebsite is reporting that the new 5-series will be released in the Indian market April 30!. Suddenly , there's gonna be three new cars ( 5-series, ARIA MPV and new Wagon R) to cover towards the end of the month!. Yippee!

The Porsche Cayenne looks so fabulous, especially its high-heels!

Though, the previoous and the upcoming Cayenne had and will have a better face then this one. This one is just plain ugly.

The Wagon R looks kind of squashed in the pics that you've posted. Contrast it with the Honda Jazz and you will see where I am coming from unless these cars dont compete with each other ?
