Hmmm. That Aria isn't too bad- judging from that Avanza introduced in Pakistan, I'd say the Aria is miles better. The interior still suffers from looking really Chinese, and it looks as if they placed that "wood" there just for the sake of doing it. But overall, it's very good.
The outside doesn't look too bad, though.

The ARIA is a great leap for TATA Motors, no doubt and i have to agree with your perceptions re: interiors(could be better) but in the flesh it looks alright and the plastics quality is good. Chrome accents look much nicer though like in this interior pic below posted earlier. The real treat is the performance/ride in this vehicle and adding some bling will kick this car up some notches. Expect the export ARIAs to have a much better interior:P

Continuing with another set of pics laying out what's in store for car buyers this side of the border in the coming year and into early 2012 too!. I hope you find this info entertaining and informative which is my main intent posting here.

Sure, Audis are bought by rich folks world over but i've chosen to highlight these brands that have invested in India by setting up factories and sourcing components and most important providing employment opportunities for thousands of Indians across sections of society from the shopfloor assistant to techie managers. The A4 and A6 are assembled by Audi in India with components sourced locally.

The General is laying it on with a slew of new models from it's various divisons including a China designed MUV priced on the low. This month the BEAT and Spark are on sale at RS3.5lacs and RS2.85lacs ex-showroom respectively and expect sales to grow for Chevy in India during the coming festival months.

Thw VW "invasion" continues. The India built Polo continues as is for next year but almost all the other products get a new design or facelift. VW assembles the Jetta and Passat in India with locally sourced components.

The Asian tigers aren't far behind. Honda will be introducing an India only all new small car, Toyota is releasing the Etios sedan in India first, Hyundai has a line of new models and facelifts to existing models , Nissan is getting ready an India specific sedan and SUV and the French are moving in too starting with Renault which has an alliance factory here followed by Citroen. in Audi's page i don't see A1 coming to India??.. audi's hatch backs can be popular there :S .. talking of audi, i saw an A4 today (black color) on my way to office.. wasn't looking much different from an eagle-eye civic :-# ...

VW page looks interesting too.. good that both vw and audi are assembling locally..

and lolz @ Ford Endeavor .. man its sort of negative publicity (looking hideous)... guess photographers couldn't wait for the 'real' thing ...

No Audi A1 yet but an intelligent suggestion. VW is expanding it's range and the 'UP' will be it's economy offering here. The two most significant cars in 2009 are the BEAT and Figo which have successfully put a dent in Mariuti-Suzuki's monopoly in the economy hatch segment. The new UVA hatch from Chevy can challenge the new Swift and you will begin to see a shift in the sales graph of various makes beginning next year as more cars from various manufacturers are available to buyers here.

The new Aveo UVA hatch looks more promising than the sedan.A hundred new cars, by the way. Hence the ado.

As i've mentioned earlier the new 5 series is a hot seller here, grey and black the most popular among the colors. Here's a few i was able to click today.
