The small car is the Maruti-Suzuki Ritz and i'll check on the Rapide pricing for you. Aston Martin is officially in India now so atleast servicing these cars should be a hassle free experience.

We got some respite from the rain late afternoon and evening so off i went to the beach and took pics of cars that liked as usual. Nothing fancy as Chennai-ites keep their nice cars inside on rainy days.

"Special Edition" straight from the factory. I think Maruti-Suzuki wants folks to start looking forward to the new Swift.By the way, check out the graphics!

One more new 5-series. They're everywhere.

A busy start to the week has kept me from one of my fav pastimes and i hope to update this thread later this week with the latest news and info. Meanwhile , here's an update of what's on the road below , from today's wanderings:

Red is the new color of the locally sold Beetle and seems to be more popular than yellow!

Nissan but i can't place the model. Looks nice, though.

The Micra is growing on me and the public as i can see almost one in every street i drive into and not bad considering October was it's first month on sale here.

Edging, Chennai style:P. The Verna guy was determined to settle a score with the bus guy and a big confrontation was in the making. Unfortunately, i had to make a U-turn soon after and i missed the action.lol. The way they drive here continues to amaze me.

:o wow... Bugatti in India!!... good.. it seems car is launched without much hoopla :S ... i mean enclosed space, no fashion show, no nonsensical promotions.. overall ceremony is lacking 'gloss'.. i like it ..

I'm in total agreement with you about the hoopla. 'Tis so much more nicer without the hideous balloons et alia.

A couple of nice utility vehicles for you which includes the sexy Aria. The Aria is now part of the street scene and i hope to capture one on the road soon.

The Q5 looks cool in side profile and first time i'm seeing this car in blue, white being the most popular color so far of my Q5 spottings.

The TATA ARIA looks cool from any angle to me!

I agree 'bout the speedometer location in the middle of the dashboard. I hate it.The Vista is a decent sort of car for the money with loads of space too.The ARIA does look cool for a vehice it's size.(H) I like it.

Today being a holiday, after some food binging, dropped in at the closest mall near home early evening for some shopping and hanging out before the movie and holiday crowds started to come in and i had a pleasant time, i must say. And saw some nice cars too, managed to click a few. How was yours?.

I wish we had more long weekends which makes me want to drive somewhere tomorrow. C'yall in this thread next week.

Rainy day in Chennai again!. Cyclone 'Jal' passing through making for a dreary Sunday. A little respite from the rain late evening and i ventured out to the safety of a mall. And, some spottings from there in this post.

The display car isn't a Jetta, it's Vento a new sedan from VW and the engine is a 1600cc 105bhp 4-pot.The new Jetta does look similar though. For more details click on the link below:

The new Jetta is all grown up with common Vw styling! The U.S model has a different rear-end, which imo, looks better!
