What i could click on a dreary day including the " One million Anniversary Edition" Swift. You would think Maruti would do something more than this given the phenomenal sales of this car in India!.

With the impending launch of budget cars from the Toyota stable first week of December and with stiff competition from excellent vfm budget cars from GM, Ford etc., leading manufacturer Maruti-Suzuki is going on a nationwide sales initiative with "special editions" of some of it's models. Nothing succeeds like competition!

Which brings me to mention again the launch of the "ETIOS" range of small cars by Toyota 1-6 December nationwide. I shall post a review of this launch as requested by some members with showroom pics after which i shall bring this thread to a close, which has been long overdue anyways. Till then , the usual. Cheers!

re: Italia fire, that might be a concern during summer, i concur.:S:D As for spotting , thanks but it doesn't always happen everytime i go out. Somedays there's nothing worth looking at like yesterday evening and i took pics to show you how dreary it was. People don't drive their posh cars out in rainy weather like we've been having lately in Chennai.

As of now the official rendering has been released. The actual production car will be revealed in December. This car will be in market in China early 2011 followed by an India debut in 2nd half of 2011. This sedan will be built at Renault-Nissan's Alliance auto plant near Chennai.This isn't a Micra sedan but an all new platform.

So many new cars coming up in this market beginning next month that i'm going to stop reviewing cars and this thread. I can't keep up. I meant to check out the new Santa Fe last week and i've been unable to get to a showroom ever since. The AutoCar show turned out to be a bummer as the Veyron wasn't on display else i would have flown to Mumbai for the weekend and met family/friends too and had a good time. Hopefully, they will display the car at some other event and i'll try and attend.

I've been "off" spotting since rain dampened my mood this weekend but i did click some while driving today. Despite a downpour early morning the skies cleared after and stayed that way till an hour ago:(. I can't take any more rain with downed power lines and cables just adding to the joy of getting around here. Check out the third pic and see what the cables look like after a pounding.
