Not yet. Expected launch next month and probably be the last quarter of this year before deliveries start. Production ready test cars spotted all over the country and this practice is common among car manufacturers here as it is free publicity for their upcoming products.

Slap an 'Indian' brand tag , rename it and will sell like hotcakes. The 'Verito' aka Logan is flying off the shelves to private buyers. Till recently, taxi fleet operators were it's saviours

I haven't seen a test car in person yet but those who have, liked what they saw. A guy in the office managed to capture a portion of the rear in his phonecam , but he's yet to mail me the pic. I'll remind him later today.

Ok. So, now i know why the new Swift launch is delayed. And, all because of the very near launch of an all new MPV design by Maruti-Suzuki, loosely based on a stretched Ritz platform (redesigned Vauxhall Meriva maybe!), is what i infer. Anyways, here's 'scoop' pics of the new car and link to more pics(front). Estimated price is Approx. RS7-8lacs.

Driving thru Chennai , 530pm i.s.t.

The Metro line construction messing up driving on this road. But, a little bit of pain now for a lot of comfort for commuters later with the new airconditioned Bombardier trains is ok by me. Theek hai.

Taken at the lobby of Escape Cinemas, Chennai this evening. Audi wants the movie going public to know the new A8 is in town. Infact, a white A7 is also on display at the local Audi dealership, waiting.

K10 is a nice car, especially the engine which is all new. I don't like the dreary Alto dashboard and cramped space. The car is a best seller for Maruti-Suzuki anyways.

Well, at a local show which wasn't about cars mainly but in today's India everything is about cars. There's a major auto show coming to Chennai in June too. I'll post details of that a bit later.
