The automobile community is saying this is the most comprehensive auto show to hit the deep south yet. I'm not saying anything yet till i see the show especially since i'm told Ferrari will be on display as the marque is now officially in India. Let's see.

A coworker returned from the states to tell me that his biggest disappointment of the trip was the new Civic. Looked like the City , especially from the rear, is what he says which he saw at the ny auto show. I'll try and check it out next week, if i can. I liked this black Civic i spied yesterday.

The Indian F1 GP has been postponed to December to accomodate the Bahrain GP which has been rescheduled due to civil unreat in that country. That means two trips back to back to Delhi as the 2012 New Delhi Auto Show will be held in January. And following are some updates from the Indian auto scene.

Maruti Suzuki has launched special edition models of the Wagon R and Estilo to commemorate this special occasion. So what do you get in these ‘Special Editions’?
In the Wagon R special edition, called as the Millennium Edition, you get:
• Reverse Parking Sensor PS-1
• Leather Seat Covers and leather wrapped Steering Wheel
• Rear Spoiler
• Body Graphics (of course)
• Bluetooth
• Body Cover
In the Estilo special edition, called as the Vogue Edition, you get:
• Vogue labeled seat covers
• Vogue labeled Floor mats

Ford Fiesta engine details are put and both engines will displace 1.5 liters. The Fiesta TDCi (diesel) will produce 90bhp power and 204Nm torque and return 23.5 kmpl. The Duratec Ti-VCT engine produces 108bhp power and 140Nm of torque returning 17kmpl. Fuel economy figures are ARAI approved.

VW has begun testing the new 2011 Jetta for launch in the 3rd quarter of this year. More details in the link below:

And, details on Indian President Pratibha Patil's official domestic aircraft, " Rajdoot". Ofcourse as anywhere, any flight a President jumps aboard is called 'Air Force One'.

What the President enjoys as she flies across the sub-continent:

*Six rows of seats for security officials and personal staff

*And another section with additional 30 seats for the support staff or accompanying media

so i heard.. but the latest, i guess, is that Bahrain is cancelled altogether.. don't knw whether Indian gp will be resheduled to original plan or not..

re: daily diet, ye can see why i'm sitting here in the pic below. At 130p is one of my fav programs.

Driving today morning i encountered one of the strangest vehicles on the road from Mahindra and a friend told me that this is Mahindra's alternate offering for mass transportation to the bus and autorickshaw. More load translates into less cost for commuters and the TATA Ace now has competition.

The way they drive over here. %%^^&

the INDIAN GP is definetly on and it is rescheduled to october ,its original date
the BAHRAIN GP is cancelled for the year..

I wasn't satisfied with the pics of the new Hyundai Verna i took at a dealership earlier and i took just two pics of the new Renault Fluence at the under construction dealership late at night and guess what?. All these cars and a Nano were on display at one of the malls i usually visit to stock up on essentials on weekends , especially since we're traveling next week. So, here's the first of what i spotted today.
