Merc C class is awesome. a few of them (six, i guess) are given to SVPs in our company and an S class for CCO.. i m starting to like my office parking area more now .

but when i talked to our pool car drivers, they said they would prefer Camry or Accord anytime over Mercs and Bimmers .. they don't like these new c classes.. fools..

BullsEye. That's the only word that came to my mind today. And, why Honda has brought the price of the City to RS7.5lacs and why VW is offering freebies on the Vento and so on and so forth. I had the opportunity to briefly drive the Hyundai Verna and ride in it for most part of the drive. In the compact sedan category the all new Verna is King and this is my verdict even though car magazines here rate the Vento the best overall.

Skoda Auto India has launched the Laura RS at a price of 1,519,906 rupees (ex-Showroom Maharashtra). There are many differences between the Laura and the RS edition such as -

Powered by a 2148cc, inline-four diesel engine, the Force One produces 138 bhp and 32 kgm of peak torque. This motor, called the 2.2 FMTech is originally a Mercedes-Benz engine that used to power the last C-Class as well as the W210 E-Class. Chennai, August 30, 2011: Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) today celebrated the start of production of its ‘Made-in-India’ mid-size sedan Nissan SUNNY at the company’s manufacturing plant at Oragadam, near Chennai. This is the second completely made in India car to be rolled out by Nissan from the Chennai plant in a period of 15 months.

The Nissan SUNNY was unveiled on August 3, 2011 and is being readied to hit the market by the coming festive season. It is manufactured with 85% local content of which 40% of the components are sourced from Chennai. The sedan is expected to appeal to young families looking for a medium sized sedan that combines a dynamic upscale design with the space, quality and features associated with the Nissan brand.

I'll try and capture more bikes next time. Use the seach feature and pull up my threads from the Madras Motorsports Race Track and you will see lots of lndian, import and superbikes.
