You got it. I took a test drive and here are my observations in brief:
Steering and Handling - 5 stars - The steering is super light and responsive and the new chassis is taut. I wouldn't be exaggerating if i said that it the new Swift felt more like a sports hatch.
Engine and drivetrain - 5 stars - The revised K-series lives up to expectations. The engine is peppy and responsive with enough thrust to propel the car through traffic lights. The gearbox s a bit notchy and is my only gripe.
Space and Comfort - 4 stars - A bigger body means more space but the all black interior is a bit drab. Legroom is more than adequate upfront and adequate in the rear with front seats pushed back fully. Thic car will seat five with ease and in comfort.
Equipment and Instrumentation - 5 stars - I felt like i was driving an executive saloon, not an economy hatch. The fit, finish and trim levels are excellent and there'a ll the information one needs, including steering mounted controls for audio etc.
Now for some pics of the test drive car. The rear parking area of my Maruti dealer's lot where test cars are parked is short on space and abuts a narrow, busy street and you can see how easily this car can be manouvered in tight spaces 'cause of the super light and responsive steering mechanism.
