Nick, I think you made the right choice having bought the new Swift. The Pulse, though not terrible to look at, looks a bit like a whale shark with its oral orifice wide open, waiting to filter through copious amounts of plankton.

I'm being a tad superstitious this time and not like my usual. The surprise is my choice of color which is totally apart from my initial choices and i like it. Pics of my Swift coming soon. Also, this week i will celebrate my Nano's 1st anniversary too!.

Ending this week's 'usual Sunday fare' with some German origin cars which are very popular in Chennai as compared to other Indian Metros.The ugly duckling X1 is everywhere 'cause it costs Rs21lacs in Chennai and an attractive monthly payment scheme of RS16,000 a month makes it easier to afford for many. The last two pics are of a VW dealer yard which i came upon by accident as my cell phone payment center had moved to the rear of the building which is adjacent to the yard. The new Jetta is a smashing executive express.

A friend of mine has a Jetta 2.5: pretty decent car, good ride and handling and very good value for money, specially if a lease special.

I've driven the Jetta and the new car is everything the old car wasn't which is more refined, leaner, ergonomically better and the new diesel engine rocks. I drove my old Estilo today as i had sold it to a friend and i could feel the difference between Suzuki's old engines and my Swift's new K-series engine.Similar with the engines in the new generation of cars from VW. Lower capacity, high output engines for better fuel efficiency and peformance tuned. I clicked a white Jetta with nice wheels today in pic below.

Got the opportunity to drive the Prius too recently and Gosh!. This is some quiet ride and the car feels humungous inside.

more views and reviews this weekend and next week the new cars start driving into showrooms starting with the Sonata. Later....

Time does 'fly'.It has been a year , on March 09, since i took possession to the keys and after almost 8000km later my Nano got a mild makeover including a subtle pinstripe across it's waist , courtesy of my dealer.By the Grace of God, we go on. Pics below were taken Friday afternoon.
