Do you mean freeway(no speed limits) ?I don't think so. may be Bombay-Pune Highway can be.
Golden Quadrilateral is what BJP sarkar(now opposition party) gave to India.a wonderful project.
The Golden Quadrilateral is a highway network in India connecting Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai, thus forming a quadrilateral of sorts. The largest highway project in India, initiated by Atal Bihari Vajpayee, it is the first phase of the National Highways Development Project (NHDP), and consists of building 5,846 kilometres of four/six lane express highways at a cost of Rs. 60,000 crores (US$ 12.317 billion at 1999 prices). As of 2008sup[update]/sup, while the Golden Quadrilateral makes up under 2 percent of India's highway network, it carries about 40% of the country's traffic and accounts for one-third of its traffic fatalities.sup[

The vast majority of the Golden Quadrilateral is not access controlled, although safety features such as guardrails, shoulders, and high-visibility signs are used. The National Highways Authority of India has produced statistics to indicate that, as of September 2007, 96%[1] of the entire work has been completed. However, these statistics appear to be misleading: in practice, roadworks are still a major feature of certain sections of the Golden Quadrilateral. For example, the statistics indicate that the Delhi to Mumbai section is 100% complete, whereas in reality there are a number of sections which are still single carriageway and in very poor repair (for example the stretch to Ahmedabad in Gujaratsup[citation needed]/sup). The whole project is a few years behind schedule, due mainly to issues with the various states about giving up land for the national highway and the termination of several contracts which take 6 months to be issued.[2] In January, 2008 it was announced that the project will now be expanded to cover 6,500 kilometers, some portions of which will be developed into eight lanes.
The GQ project is managed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) under the Ministry of Road, Transport and Highways. The Mumbai-Pune Expressway, the first controlled-access toll road to be built in India is a part of the GQ Project though not funded by NHAI, and separate from the main highway. Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services (IL&FS) has been one of the major contributors to the infrastructural development activity in the GQ project.

howz tata indica as a car?
www.CarDekho.com
Cheapest Cars of India:
http://www.cardekho.com/search/AllBrands/AllVehicleStyles/100000-300000/Price-Low-High
^You can watch Indian cars and how it fares there

Well.I own a TATA Indica DLE.This car is really Value For Money.Gives a mileage of 18-20kmpl for a diesel car.The First Series of Car(V1) have some issues. The Rusting ,failing of electrical parts were an issue pre 2000 models.Indica V2 is almost a trouble free car(but diesel cars are not a smooth thing to own baba!).The Cabin Space is much more than even some sedans.Leg room is worth to be mentioned.I am 5ft9 and This car got enough space for 6fters and all. There are small niggling issues with V2 as well.but for the price it sells(3.5INR) ,this car is surely VFM.the many bad reviews on mouthshut.com like sites are due to petrol car owners who are not well aware of diesel car ownership. The Number of Indica Cars in India vouches for the reality.
This cars are now mostly owned by Taxi walas along with Mahindra(renault) Logan.

^This was all about Indicab,Indica DLE/DLS.
Now the Diesel Turbo ,Dicor Models are much more trouble free. For Indian Conditions ,Indica is a sure win.The Mileage some claims to be 22kmpl on highways on diesel is absolutely great! The passengers will not get cramped and hence less tired for long distance journeys.Ambassador(Amby) cars are all replaced by Indica Now.
There is Sedan Version of Indica called Indigo(Indigo ,Indigo CS)
I read ,inorder to replace decades old fiat 1100d(premier padmini -many might know it as black/yellow coloured taxis in Bollywood Movies) cars in Bombay by Indica special Model offered by tata for Indian Rs1.7 Lakhs!(source:team-bhp).There are few hyundai santro taxis in bombay already.
