Whats the best combination for CJ7

II want to ask the 4x4 enthusiasts what is the best combination of gearbox and differentials for a CJ7 keeping in mind speed and 4x4ing ability.
And also which make and model of 4x4s have the smallest differential gear: pinion ratio.

The 1KZ-T + Transmission sounds about right. What I want is some figures for differential gear ratio for
Land Crusir,
Surf
Hilux
Jeep
Rocky
My search on the net is going on. I will post the results when I have the figures.

As per my limited knowledge of the subject... rocky differentials come in three ratio's

37/10
37/7
37/11

my jeep has 37/10... and its good on-road and an okay offroad performer.

it is very important to choose proper ratio's of gear and differentials.... according to the engine RPM... some engines like 2L are low rev... others like 3C are high rev... take these issues in account.

my setup is 3CT engine... with rocky 5 sp gear and 37/10 differentials... and i love driving it

abt ur engine of choise... look for its performance rpm, gear ratios and match a differential accordingly.

i suggest dont use rocky diff if ur using prado gear.. go for matching prado diff... will cost a bit high..

and rocky gear is known to b a little noisy

use prado/surf running gear for best performance;

-1KZ Turbo EFI, manual or auto gear box
-diffs with electric lock
-disc brakes all around

You can make it faster onroad by swapping-in pinion gears from a LC80 (thats Land Cruiser 80 series in English). Dont know the ratios. Dont ask.
