Whats the diff b/w m38a1 and cj7

According to my knowledge. M38A-1 is short chases and without full door support (more similar to a CJ-5) while CJ-7 is a bit longer and have full door supports.

Also M38A-1 has a larger curvature at door which CJ-7 lacks

I had the experience of driving both in military....M38A1 has independent suspension... it flys cross country specially in desert...it is also used to house a anti tank gun on it...i think the pics posted are of CJ7 as the M38 has lot of difference in shape.... its lesser in height.....

u can also see some auction ones on the road having a cut in the wind screen that is to place the barrel of anti tank gun....

these M38 mounted guns played a major role in 1965 war....and if there are some still available with guns it is favourite of all even Army has now defenders as well...

a real se*y thing......thing i liked the most was the starter push button located near brake pedals....so one has to start it with foot......

i think ur confusing m38a1 with m151 aka commando jeep which has independent suspension. m38a1 is the military variant of cj5 and almost look-alike. and green jeep posted above is the m38a1.
