What's there to do, in a day trip to Peshawar

I'll be in Peshawar for a day and this will be my first time there. Could you guys elaborate on what could one do, should they have a few hours at their hands please?

Family places would be nice... I've heard Sheraz would be a nice place to eat. What do you guys think? Is hayatabad safe to visit? Where can I go to get a decent pair of Peshawari chappals?

I won't have any local company so areas with not too much hassle would be nice to go to.

I'm into shopping but only the NATO stuff

I believe, whole of the Peshawar is completely safe alhamdolillah Nullify the negative stereotypes.

Well, Hayatabad is must to go. It has beautiful green sectors. Go to chief burgers restaurant. Enjoy the special Peshawari burger or stakes. Drive into Namak Mandi, and get to the most famous Charsi tikka shop . its tikkas and karrahi are must to try. Take away is advised if one's with family

You can get peshawari chappal from Qissa khawani bazar or Khyber bazar.

That natto stuff can be purchased from Karkhano Market on Jamrud road. If you keep heading forward on Jamrud road, you'll be able to sight the glorious Khyber Pass. The architectural, spacious and piece of art, historical Islamia College Peshawar is also good place to visit. Starry ma shay (don't get tired, have safe journey:p)
