Whats with the Funky Pup Subwoofer's

Ever heard of the Funky PUP's???

these subs vr banned from SPL competitions due to the fact that they vr considered cheater's. A single sub could go upto 189.6db:o. They could take upto 4000rms (18") and hit such low freqs that breaking the windshield was just another day's story.

keep in mind the current record is 183db or smthing like that...

So y hasnt it become popular?:S

And y havnt v seen any1 here on pw with them?

oh and the magnet size is 20oz.... yet they put the custom built SPL subs to shame:D

if anyone has seen the incredible hulk... there is a scene where hulk is being bombarded with sound waves to slow him down... these are the subs they used in that scene..

indeed.... the test by sonicelectronix showed a raise of 10db's by using the pink surround compared to the black 1.

I think it was designed by a female, tests show that pink surround squeezes more dbs out of sub. I want a paint job for my sub's surround as well (H)

It is not official that A single funky pup could hit 183dbs ...It cant be true ,I mean com on only with 4000 wrms

You go Every car audio forum ,they all praise funky pup ....but there isn't any official record or statement about em.

It's to be remembered that anything above 150 DBs is not a joke .... And u need tremendous amount of power/loudness to

Increase A DB rise ..higher u go more power u need to increase 1 DB.

But If there is such thing present ,would love to own it
