Malaysia is very very economical in terms of living, accomodation, transportation and food. A 3 Bedroom apartment in the middle of the city, lets say like aprtmnt in Jumiera, really really nice one's cost max of 1500AED per month. And if you want to buy, it costs not more than 200,000AED..... similar one in Dubai costs 1.4million AED atleast...... the only thing expensive here is personal transportation...... I mean u'r own Car....... esle..... just like my dream land

Good to see the pictures of Malaysian cars.

So, you are interesting in moving. That is nice. I also just moved from Michigan to Texas, although it is same country, US, but, it is so damn big country, and the distance, it is just like moving from One small country to another. The distance from Michigan to Houston is 1400 miles, or about 3 to 4 hours flight. I had to close all the bank accounts, hire the household moving company, sign a new lease at a new home, transfer job, etc. But at the end, it was all worth it. I like the weather of Texas, just like Pakistan or Middle East, mostly hot. I am sick of all the snow and blizzards in Michigan.

Hope you find the transition to Malaysia beneficial and worthwhile, if you are considering moving there.

I'm following some dreams and I believe I can achieve them within 2 to 3 years..... InshALLAH...... I've met people followong almost the same way and to success, and success, here I come!

That dream led me to Malaysia, will lead me to Indonesia in couple of months, I'll follow it to Madrid in Sept 2006 and InshALLAH to South Africa in April 2007....... and by 2008..... i'll be Luchchar Kunwara no more..... lol!!!

Btw, anything called Diahatsu elsewhere is called PeroDua in Malaysia, local made!

Proton was launched in 80s, the first model was Proton Saga, body n designing was made in Malaysia and the engine was Mitsubishi, don’t know are they making the engine in Malaysia now.

They purchased Lotus and thats why they are helping them building engines also. The Gen-2 is the 1st fully home made product, with the expertise of Lotus. Saga, Waja, Wira, Perdana and AvVay are all beautiful cars from the Proton family. The PeroDua (all models based on Daihatsu) is also good example of indeginization as all the products are local made, the new company Naza specializes in Kia and Hyundai based models. I'm trying to catch up with the names which are difficult for me to remember.

Btw, today 9th May, I'm going to Genting Highlands.

Gurmit was in National Hockey team, he also came to Karachi.
