As the title says, when (date, month, year) the vehicle import policy changed from 5 yr old to 3 yr old vehicles?
I am thinking about buying a 2009 JDM Alto which is currently unregistered. Owner claims the vehicle reached Pakistan in Feb 2014 but was stuck at the customs because of this policy change and was just released to him in this July. Can any importer verify this story if this actually happened with some more than 3 yr old vehicles in Feb 2014?
Is it safe to buy this 2009 model unregistered JDM that was stuck at Pakistan's customs from Feb till July 2014? Will I have any problems in getting this car registered in Islamabad or any other kind of problem related to it?
