Hey guys,

So i just bought a used pair of alloy rims & i'm thinking of changing them from silver to bronze.

Here's what they currently look like:

and here's what i want them to look like:

Does anyone have an idea of where i can get this done in islamabad & how much it should cost? Also if anyone knows the color code for these bronze rims please let me know. Thanks.

there are many places which can do this, as long as the painter uses a high temperature paint you'll be fine. also ensure that it has a few layers of clear coat.

I found a shop today, it's going to cost 1200. Bought the paint today going to get them painted tomorrow. Which color are you interested in?

i think powered coating will be much more durable for the rims, there is a guy in g-10 hoe does that dont have his number right now, if you are interested i can get the number

What's the difference between powder coating & regular spray painting? Anyway it's too late now but if i go in for another coat sometime in the future i'll get it done.

did he removed the tyres before painting the rims?
In the picture you posted he is painting the rims with the tyres on them

No he didn't take the tires out, just covered them & painted the rims from both the back & front.

PS: u could have had made side strips, they still be made if u choose some other color, but i guess gold is looking better.

powder coating is a hard durable relatively thick layer. basically a powder is sprayed on the surface than its heated to melt that powder and hence a layer is formed, inshallah i will post the number of the guy in a day or two
