As OEM battery in Toyota Aqua comes with a vent hole, and the local batteries such as Daewoo,AGS,Exide does not have that , so should we install a local battery , without plugging in vent pipe into a battery . ?
all hybrids eventually run on local available 12v batteries if you plan to buy a sealed batteryit hardly takes 3-4 minutes to get a new battery from a battery shop they will match terminal size / position left of right , amp and suggest themselves AGS Exide are better brands
I know that I can get a battery from any battery shop easily but here I am trying to ask that these local batteries doesn't have vent holes in them ,For vehicle applications that have the battery installed inside the passenger compartment of a vehicle, it is imperative the battery be vented properly. For those applications that have a single vent tube, the opposing vent opening on the battery cover must be plugged with the included vent hole plug. so installing a local battery without vent hole and leaving the vent pipe not plugged in ,will it cause any harm or not?
jsut had a chat with a aqua ownersaid he got a local sealed batteryno duct etc connectedhis car is running fine
Thank you for the information
Unfortunately no one addressed HSE related issues while replying to honourable member question. Only ventilated battery should be placed inside passenger compartment for safety reasons. Non ventilated batteries can explode causing harm to car & passengers sitting inside.
