Which 660 cc to 1000 cc cars have good fuel efficiency?

In 660 cc cars, Daihatsu Mira / Move, Suzuki Alto and Wagon R, are excellent options, and all are "market ki cars" (with slight exception to Move). All have almost similar, good fuel efficiency, with ready and easy availability of spare parts, etc. (although expensive).

If your daily travelling is ~180 Kms, I would suggest to go for at least 1000 cc car, and in commonly used JDM cars in 1000 cc category; fuel efficient cars are: Mitsubishi Mirage, Toyota Passo / Daihatsu Boon, and lastly, Vitz.

Vitz is slightly less fuel efficient in comparison to Passo / Boon, although they all share the same 1KR-FE engine.

You can either buy from market, or go for self-import (if possible and feasible. Nowadays, self import has been made quite difficult, almost near to impossible). It may be costly in comparison to used cars readily available in market, but will be a complete peace of mind for at least next 2-3 years. You will know your ride since day 1.

Prefer 4.5 grade or above car (if finances are not an issue), auction sheet must be verified, and if you wanna go hassle free, avail Pakwheels car inspection service for absolute peace of mind; if buying a car from market / showroom, etc.

Otherwise, if self importing, again prefer at least 4.5 grade car.

Do consider locally assembled PKDM Suzuki Celerio / Cultus too, and prefer AGS variant in brand new, showroom condition (again, if finances are not an issue).

Its the "best" locally assembled hatchback in 1000 cc category, as of today

Well... Tbh... I do not know what are the prices in market? However, just to give you an idea, I self-imported a Toyota Vitz last year, in RED color. It was auction grade 4.5 car, 2015 model, with ~18,000 Kms on odometer. It got custom cleared in December, 2018, and costed me almost 18 lac PKR!!! So be careful and sure about what you are buying from market!

Since I do not trust and believe in showrooms (as most of them import accidental cars and then sell here after complete repairing), so I do not know, which are the good ones?

Also share your city to get better responses, and remember, true auction grade 4.5 or above car, with verifiable auction sheet, will never come cheap!

Yes, locally assembled PKDM Suzuki Alto is expected to be launched here this year, and parts will not be an issue, if you now go for used JDM Alto, however, as you have rightly said; locally assembled Alto will never match Japanese Alto (regrading features, build quality, etc.)

Well, if you are inclined towards 660 cc Alto and finances are an issue for 1000 cc car, then I would suggest to wait (if you can) and go for brand new PKDM Alto when its launched.

A brand new car has its own charm! otherwise, used JDM Alto is already there.

If you want to finance it from bank, then I think, they have limitations like; manufacture year should not be older than 5 years.

You can finance any car, as long as you can afford it, and its not older than 5 years from year of manufacture.

Prefer Bank Islami or Meezan Bank, if going for car finance.

daily ride of 180 km is no joke, JDM junk vehicles can not take such beating while the comfort level is crude with safety highly questionable.

Look around and check from your bank for the year model option they can finance, you can buy a Suzuki certified Swift 2013 onward vehicle.

JDM 660 cars may be a reasonable for short commuting of 30 ~ 45 minutes randomly but not good neither safe for daily commuting of 180 kms.

your money your call safety & comfort is never an option., but mandatory.

Yes. I think, you are right.

Auction Grade 4.5, 2015 model, Suzuki Alto (may be even base package, but in top notch condition) with around ~45-50K on odo, should come around 13 lac PKR, or may be even slightly less.
