Which battery for UPS

I'm looking to buy batteries for my UPS. Which ones are currently good value for money that can last a while.
I'm not looking for expensive stuff. I've heard a lot about tubular batteries, are they want better than regular ones?

AGS has lot of variety marketed for solar/ups but I couldn't find any specific details about them

AGS batteries are the best and time tested.
Dry batteries aren't for UPS.
Tubular batteries are expensive.
Batteries just need periodic maintenance.

So you recommend regular batteries? For me they don't last more than 2-3 years even though our load shedding is only occasional and load is very less and I also regularly maintain them.

3years is a reasonable time for Batteries to last.

Tubular and regular both last 2-3 years. But if you properly maintain and equilize the battery, it would last longer

The trick to maintaining batteries, no matter what type n brand is:

DO NOT DEEP DISCHARGE.
Never let them go below 60% charge.

Now, how to do that?
All professionals all over the world do battery sizing.

If your requirement is 200amp, get a bank of at least triple that amperage.

They’ll last much longer.

The most important thing IMO is battery equalization. Why does car battery last longer than ups battery? The reason is battery equalization is done by car movement while ups can't have that movement. Now modern inverters have Auto-battery equalizer, hope that works.
