Assalam o alaikum n does any car in Pakistan come with a stock D15B Vtec (3-stage) engine in it? I do know that its a JDM engine but I hope that may be honda civic VTI 96/97/98/99/2000 PKDM have them by stock? please kindly confirm me it ..

hmm i think D15b vtec does not come in PKDM 6th generation civic can anyone confirm me then which engine is stock in 6th generation honda civic PKDM? exi and VTI?

D15 3 stage vtec is a jdm motor - local exi variant had D15 but NOT vtec (Efi)

Nopes lolzz ....even they cant handle 3 stages VTEC here...........they cant tune them properly thats the best vtec interms of economy with power ....ever ! love the D15b 3-stage vtec !

sir d16w9 came in the 7th gen civic and it is 2 stage vtec
2001–2005 Honda Civic VTi (Philippines,Pakistan)

Bore and Stroke: see D16 Series Engines
Displacement: see D16 Series Engines
Power: 130 hp (96.2 kW, 131 ps) at 6,600 rpm
Redline: 7,200 rpm
Valvetrain: SOHC VTEC3 (4 valves per cylinder)
1st VTEC Switchover: 2,500 rpm
2nd VTEC Switchover: 5,500 rpm
Fuel Control: OBD2

The engine you quoted above IS 3-stage vtec.
Stage-1: before 2500 rpms where engine operates at 12 valves.
Stage-2: 1st vtec switchover, where all 16 valves are in operation.
Stage-3: 2nd vtec switchover, intake valves operate at higher life, aggressiveish cam.

2-Stage vtec is any regular vtec engine: either a combination of stage 1 & 2 or stage 2 & 3, mentioned above.

I previously owned a honda civic 7th generation VTI Oriel with that dump engine D16w9 and I can personally guarantee that is a lot powerless engine and I just hated it and only because of this engine I sold my 7th generation and now going to buy a 6th generation civic and put this kool JDM D15B VTEC 3-stage into it .. D16w9 is one of the most under powered engines that I have ever seen for the class of such a car like 1.6 civic .. even an Toyota XLI engine has more power then it

And to add to this my friend has D15B single vtec running in his 95 civic and that can compete even with r18 in pick and power and its fuel economy is very good too

lol d16w9 is is an engine with pretty much decent power i.e 130 hp........you can 't compare it with an xli's 2nzfe engine that produces merely 87hp....your car's engine must have been screwed up or there would hav beeen some drivetrain issues!!

may be it was prosmatic thats why but I just hated tht engine

(And I can personally guarantee that cuz I owned one VTI Oriel prosmatic with that damn D16w9 in it its pick was an issue and even for a 1.6 its top speed was only 180KM/H which is another down for it plus I just hated it all the way)
