PLZ SUUGEST WHICH CAR POLISH AND CAR WAX SHOULD BE USED ???? HOW FREQUENTLY???? N WAT IS THE DIFF BW A CAR POLISH N A CAR WAX???
Wax=Provides a clear coating shell over the paint to protect it from the sun, rain etc.
Polish=An abrasive that removes paint to make it shine. Best NOT used on new cars unless they have been damaged in the sun or faded another way.
There are good quality waxes that last 6 months or more, and then there are cheap waxes that last a month or less. Depending on how often you wash your car and the type of wax you use will determine how often you should wax your car.
Usually better quality, ie HARDER waxes cost more and last longer. The more coats you put on the better too (more work, have to apply, remove, and then reapply.
Most people in Pakistan call car waxes as car polish which is a big mistake.
Also to properly wax a car, you must wash it first to remove all dirt as the dirt can get trapped in the wax and actually ruin your paint more. The car should be cool and in the shade, you apply the wax in circular motion with the applicator, let it dry and then buff it off changing sides of the cloth often. Best not to let it get into small cracks or in plastic as its hell to remove especially when it hardens. Dont get waxing done at car washes in pakistan, they simply put it on and remove it right away basically.
You can also tell when your wax is "worn out" and needs to be reapplied simply by noticing how water "sits" on the paint of your car body. If a car is properly waxed and strong, the water will bead up into small circles and look like it sits above the paint instead of soaking into it. When you drive you'll notice these water beads just fall off. If the wax is worn out you'll just notice your car is wet and the water lays on it like a blanket. Hope this answers your question =)
